Lior Lev Sercarz, owner of renowned New York City spice shop La Boîte, blends spices that allow home cooks to elevate their cooking by just opening a tin. Sercarz joins Christopher Kimball at Milk Street to demonstrate how the right spice blend can transform all foods, from rice to chocolate chip cookies. While discussing the lore and history of spices, he will put Chris through his paces with a cooking challenge and lesson. Then we'll sample dishes from Sercarz's new book, “The Spice Companion.”

This evening of conversation and demonstration cooking will be followed by a wine reception and book signing.

Lior will be signing copies of "The Spice Companion" (Clarkson Potter, 2016), available at the event and with advance ticket purchase.
